Self-Classification

Okay, just being a bit compulsive here. I found this name generator while playing with that aforementioned other blog. I shared it; Suncat picked up on it and had fun with it. I tried to share mine in her comments, and made an HTMLy mess of it. So, determined to record it for posterity somewhere, I post the results here:

Silvernfire’s Dewey Decimal Section:

Silvernfire = 99225846985 = 992+258+469+85 = 1804

Class:
800 Literature

Contains:
Literature, criticism, analysis of classic writing and mythology.

What it says about you:
You’re a global, worldly person who wants to make a big impact with your actions. You have a lot to tell people and you’re good at making unique observations about everyday experiences. You can notice and remember details that other people think aren’t important.

Here’s one of the little oddities of life: both my real name and the Silvernfire pseudonym end up in the 800s. My real name corresponds to a real Dewey classification (851: Italian Poetry, or 861: Spanish Poetry if I use my middle name as well). My fake name corresponds to an unassigned (unreal?) Dewey number.

But why stop at names? With birth date, I get:

Silvernfire’s Dewey Decimal Section:

194 Philosophy of France

Silvernfire’s birthday: 12/28/1966 = 1228+1966 = 3194

Class:
100 Philosophy & Psychology

Contains:
Books on metaphysics, logic, ethics and philosophy.

What it says about you:
You’re a careful thinker, but your life can be complicated and hard for others to understand at times. You try to explain things and strive to express yourself.
